Stupid April storm, and stupid NYC inner courtyard with near-non-existant drainage.  I'm centimeters away from a flooded bedroom... fortunately the rain is now slowing.

My Austrian friends from London were in town this weekend:

A few weeks ago with my brothers from out of town:

Rich, Min and crew were on location too:

Scud made a late appearance!  Rather than the normal looking shot, here's us looking like drunken idiots (which we were) because Afu took the picture too soon:

Afu didn't want his picture taken.  I think he heard about the one Gumby caught of him the last time we were all out.

Oh yea, I went to China last month with Sternies.

That's my Dad in the middle of the last picture... he happened to be in Shanghai the same time as me.

Uruaguay... got to drive a golf cart around town!  Here's me having just fetched our cart, and being told that the one we rented was green.

World Cup 2006 in Berlin!

First a pitstop in Amsterdam (redlight district):

Now off to Berlin, with a little sight seeing ahead of the game (a remaining piece of the Berlin Wall):

On our way to the game, after I relented and bought a Brazil shirt...

Jon and Ruy in front of the Olympic Stadium, famous for the 1936 Olympics when American Jesse Owens won gold in front of Hitler...

In our seats, waiting for the game to start...

Brazil on the attack against Croatia:

Croatian fans getting a bit restless, being down 1-0 with ten minutes left.  The energy in the stadium of 73,000 people was amazing.

The game ended 1-0 for Brazil... not the most exciting scoreline, but still an awesome experience.

The next night Celisa and I watch Germany squeeze by Poland with a goal in the 90th minute.  Needless to say the city went nuts afterwards...

I'm back in London, getting ready for work starting Monday.

Sorry I haven't been in touch with people lately.  Hopefully by January I'll have a summer internship lined up, and I can re-enter normal society from the cocoon that is MBA 1st semester.

Something interesting I got off Scratchy aka http://www.xanga.com/mikesheu

{do this}: if you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. it can be anything you want - good or bad. when you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.
